Sound / Audio Issues

If you’re having problems with your audio, here are some helpful tips to fix them:
  • Most video players (Hulu, Xfinity, Crackle, YouTube) will have the volume controls in the bottom right-hand corner. If you aren’t hearing anything from the video player, first make sure the volume control is turned up. Also make sure the player isn’t muted.
  • If that doesn’t fix your audio problem, try adjusting your computer’s volume by double-clicking the volume icon on your System Tray and raising the slider up.

The volume icon usually looks like a small speaker and is located on the bottom right corner of your computer screen.

  • Try a few different video/audio players like Windows Media Player or QuickTime. Do you hear any audio from these players? You can also try watching videos on YouTube to see if they play.
  • Close out and then restart your internet browser and try playing the video again. If you’re still having issues, trying clearing your cache.
  • Restart your computer and try playing the video again.
